Big Baby

Ben had his 4 month well visit yesterday and he's huge! Upper 95th percentile for height and weight. 17.6lbs and 27" tall. Perfectly proportioned :)





He's having fun grabbing things, squealing, giggling, and of course razzing.

Charlotte just wants to hold him all of the time ;)

Sibling Love

Charlotte's constantly asking to hold Ben so I finally obliged (supervised, of course).

mini vacations

Matt's mum visited these last 2 weeks all the way from Australia!

The first weekend we took her down to Nashville, Indiana where we enjoyed shopping and a fun Etsy arts & craft event.

We were in Chicago this past weekend. Ben's first trip and Charlotte's first memorable visit. There were a couple of firsts for her.

First Carousel ride: and first ferris wheel ride: It was really high! We also went to Shedd's Aquarium where she had a fun time playing with the other children running about. We had such a great time with Jenni and can't wait to see her again down in AU; hopefully within the next year!

Ben's One Month Old

We've had some ups and downs as far as feeding goes, but we're back on track. Up to 9lbs 5.6oz from 7lbs 2.2oz in 2 weeks! Ben had a frenuloplasty (skin under the tongue clipped) 2 days ago so hopefully that will help drastically in his feedings as he'll be able to extend his tongue properly. However, it could take up to 2 weeks for him to learn to extend it fully.

Luckily it's a very non-invasive procedure and he was nursing immediately after.

I Have A Helper

Ben was born July 24th at 00:08. 7lbs 12.6oz and 20.5 inches long. I don't have much to say as it was a pretty typical labor/delivery with about 10 minutes of pushing. Labor lasted about 14 hours. He was a little over 2 weeks early. Like always, here are some photos!

The Waiting Game

I've been having contractions since 33 weeks so we're just telling everyone that Ben can be here "any day now". Enjoy a picture of Charlotte hamming it up! :)

Belated Vacation Update

Back in the beginning of May we took our first big family vacation.  Florida! Navarre Beach, Pensacola, Golf Shores, and Destin. Not to mention a drive into/across 6 states.  Lots of fun in the sun, some sunburns, and lots of driving :)

She loved the pool. I daresay she enjoyed it more than the beach. We also had easy access to the pool as it was directly behind the house.

Baby Stuff

I have been asked by several people about a baby shower (especially since we're having a boy). We do not have any plans for a baby shower. However, we do have a registry if you enjoy buying cute baby things - I know I do! ;)
