mini vacations
Matt's mum visited these last 2 weeks all the way from Australia!
The first weekend we took her down to Nashville, Indiana where we enjoyed shopping and a fun Etsy arts & craft event.
We were in Chicago this past weekend. Ben's first trip and Charlotte's first memorable visit. There were a couple of firsts for her.
First Carousel ride:
and first ferris wheel ride:
It was really high!
We also went to Shedd's Aquarium where she had a fun time playing with the other children running about.
Ben spent the day doing this:

We had such a great time with Jenni and can't wait to see her again down in AU; hopefully within the next year!

Ben's One Month Old
We've had some ups and downs as far as feeding goes, but we're back on track. Up to 9lbs 5.6oz from 7lbs 2.2oz in 2 weeks! Ben had a frenuloplasty (skin under the tongue clipped) 2 days ago so hopefully that will help drastically in his feedings as he'll be able to extend his tongue properly. However, it could take up to 2 weeks for him to learn to extend it fully.

Luckily it's a very non-invasive procedure and he was nursing immediately after.

Ben is Here!
Ben was born July 24th at 00:08. 7lbs 12.6oz and 20.5 inches long. I don't have much to say as it was a pretty typical labor/delivery with about 10 minutes of pushing. Labor lasted about 14 hours. He was a little over 2 weeks early. Like always, here are some photos!
